If you have been accepted and enrolled in a school recognized by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (“SEVP”), then after scheduling your appointment you will be interviewed by a consular officer. You should know about the program in which you will study. Be prepared to answer these type of questions:
Have you ever traveled to the US?
Do you have any relatives in the US?
Why would you like to study in the US?
Why don’t you study this subject in your country?
Which school will you be attending?
Why did you pick this school?
How did you find this school?
What are your TOEFL/GRE scores?
How long will you study in the US?
Where will you live during your studies in the US?
What do you know about America’s education system?
